About the authors

Akhtar Kalam has been working at Victoria University, Melbourne since 1985 and was a Deputy Dean of the Faculty of Health, Engineering and Science for 7 years. He is currently the Head of the Engineering Department. He is also the current Chair of the Academic Board and lectures in the Masters by coursework program in the Engineering Institute of Technology, Perth, Australia. Further, he has Distinguished Professorship position at the University of New South Wales, Sydney, Australia and five Malaysian universities. He received his B.Sc. and B.Sc. Engineering degrees from University of Calcutta and the Aligarh Muslim University, India. He completed his MS and Ph.D degrees at the University of Oklahoma, USA and the University of Bath, UK. 
Khaleequr Rehman Niazi completed Ph.D. on ‘Distribution Network Reconfiguration using Artificial Intelligence Techniques’ from MNIT Jaipur in Apr 2012. He received POSOCO Power System Award-2013 in Ph.D. category for innovative research in area of Power Systems. The award is given by Power System Operation Corporation (POSOCO), Power Grid Corporation of India Ltd, in partnership with the Foundation for Innovation & Technology Transfer, IIT Delhi. Presently he is Assistant Professor in Dept. of Electrical Engineering, MNIT, Jaipur. His area of research interests are application of artificial intelligence in the power system operation and control. He has also filed one patent in Indian patent office.
Amit Soni is Professor & Head of Department of Electrical Engineering, Manipal University, Jaipur. He completed PhD and M.Tech from M.N.I.T. Jaipur in Power System. He has more than ten years of teaching and research experience. Currently he is working in the area of solar PV Materials & its applications, renewable energy. He has published several research papers in these areas. He is also guiding many students towards their M.tech and PhD thesis in grid management, SCADA systems, Photo Voltaics and power systems.
Shahbaz Ahmed Siddiqui is Associate Professor in Department of Electrical Engineering, Manipal University, Jaipur. He completed his PhD and M.Tech. from M.N.I.T., Jaipur in Power Systems. He is teaching undergraduate and post graduate courses and is also  involved in research in the area of Wide-area monitoring and control of power system; Optimal sizing and placement of DGs and islanding detection techniques for improving voltage stability. He has published several papers in these areas.
Ankit Mundra is working as Assistant Professor in the Department of Information Technology, Faculty of Engineering,Manipal University Jaipur. He is also Department Faculty Placement Co-ordinator. He is pursuing PhD from M.N.I.T., Jaipur in Internet of Things. His area of research expertise is Network Security, Wireless Networks, Big-Data, Online Fraud Detection. He has also published several papers in these areas.
