About this book series

The objective of the series Biocomputing is to publish monographs and contributed works containing state-of-the-art expository research covering all topics in the field of biocomputing. In addition, the series will include books which are suitable for graduate-level courses in computer science, biomedical engineering, neuroengineering, combinatorial chemistry, molecular computing, mathematical biology, and molecular biology.

Through the interdisciplinary efforts of engineers and experimental and theoretical scientists, the new field of biocomputing has emerged. It has revolutionized the discovery of new tools and technologies for bioengineering. In biocomputing, a fast-growing discipline, computer and information technology play a vital role. This new view of bioengineering is the focus of the books in the series.
