Aims and Scope
The Systems & Control: Foundations & Applications series aims to publish high quality, state-of-the-art research monographs, edited volumes, and textbooks at the graduate and post-graduate levels in systems, control, and related fields. Books in the series take care to explain and build upon the essential foundational elements of the field. Additionally, established and emerging applications are developed and utilized in an effort to demonstrate the most recent advances in systems and control. The study spans the gamut of areas from information technology (particularly networked systems and communication networks), to biotechnology (particularly systems biology) and economics.
The Birkhäuser series Control Engineering examines the industrial and applied implementation of control. Systems & Control complements this effort through a study of the abstract and theoretical mathematical aspects of control. The series attempts to find the latest innovations in theory and analysis, innovations that are often the backbone for real-world applications.
