About this book series

This series aims to publish books that bring together multidisciplinary contributions from psychology, neuroscience and social sciences to the study and promotion of socioemotional well-being, which is the experience of feeling good and satisfied with oneself, both in physical and psychological dimensions, as well as in the social dimension. 

Published in partnership with the Socioemotional Well-being Institute of the Universidad del Desarrollo (IBEM-UDD), Chile, the series was born to be a space of dialogue to publish books coming from the social and behavioral sciences  that address topics related to one or more of the three thematic axes that structure the activities of the Institute:

Emotion Regulation and Mental Health: The focus of this thematic axis is the generation of instances of scientifically informed applied research in the field of psychological well-being, emotion regulation and mental health. Its mission is to create an academic space for leadership in interaction between the academy and the public and private instances that need to foster and promote the mental health and/or psychological well-being.

Parenting and Human Development: The focus of this thematic axis is to generate applied research and intervention related to interactions within the system family with emphasis on the development of infants and children. Its mission is to promote, implement and/or evaluate psychosocial interventions to promote well-being in the early development 

Collaboration and Learning: The focus of this thematic axis is to generate applied knowledge and interventions on the components, dynamics, levels of collaboration and in learning contexts that promote human development throughout the life cycle. Its mission is to contribute to the national and international environment with the generation of knowledge in the field of social collaboration and learning contexts for human development

The series invites scholars and researchers from different areas of knowledge to submit book proposals. Interested authors from around the world are welcome. Theoretical or empirical contributions are welcome, which can be developed through monographic books or edited volumes.
