Principal Scientist/Professor before this position and worked as Visiting Scientist at Ontario Research Institute, University of Ottawa, Canada (2013), Postdoctoral Research Associate at

Molecular Virology, University of Minnesota, Saint Paul, USA (2002‐2003). Dr. Malik has rich experience in animal virology and his major research interests are focused on viral disease epidemiology, virus‐host interactions, microbial biodiversity, characterization and diagnosis. He has developed new generation immunodiagnostics using synthetic and recombinant DNA technology. Dr Malik is recipient of several prestigious National, State and Academy level

awards/honours including ICAR Jawaharlal Nehru Award (2001); Young Scientist Awards (2000, 2010), Fellowships/Associateship of noted scientific and professional societies of international

and national repute including NAAS and NAVS; CSIR Senior Research Fellowship (1997‐2000), ICAR Junior Research Fellowship (1995‐1997).

Till now, he has authored 5 books and contributed 17 book chapters. He has published around 150 scientific research articles, Popular/Technical Articles/Reviews in various peer reviewed

National/International journals of high impact factor. Dr. Malik has been the Editor‐in‐Chief of Journal of Immunology Immunopathology and edited special issue of Springer’s journal VirusDisease on “Enteric Viral infections in Humans and Animals” and special issue of

Bentham’s journal Current Drug Metabolism on “Therapeutic Advances and their Biomedical Perspectives”.
