About this book series
The principles of signal processing have been dated back to numerical analysis technique in the 17th century. With the advent of digital signal processors in the 80’s, digital signal processing techniques have since been the enabling technology in most of today’s electronic gadgets, like smart phones, tables, high-definition 3D televisions, digital camera, biomedical devices, etc; and high-end electronic devices, such as automobiles, robots, medical instruments, multimedia broadcasting systems, and many entertainment systems. Signal processing techniques are also now beginning to deploy in many interesting fields, such as social network, genetic sequencing, and data mining.
This book series serves as a quick platform for publishing top-quality books on emerging or hot topics in signal processing, and also helps to bring across state-of-the-art signal processing techniques and applications in an easy to understand manner. the series is also targeted at different levels of exposition, ranging from introductory tutorial to advanced research topics, depending on the objectives of the authors. Over time, some of the new work can be updated by the authors to better reflect the current technology and trend. This Book series is opened to all relevant areas in signal processing: theoretical methods, algorithms, implementation issues, and novel applications.
In order to promote reproducible research, we want to encourage authors to include web links to their programming codes and data for readers to better understand and repeat experiments listed by the authors. In this way, we hope to create an open research community, where researchers can build upon the previous research results, and acknowledge researchers’ contributions in different areas of signal processing.
