International Journal of Intelligent Robotics and Applications Best Paper Award

Established in 2020, the purpose of this award is to recognize the best refereed paper published in the prior volume year of the International Journal of Intelligent Robotics and Applications.


One award per calendar year. The award shall consist of a printed certificate, a plaque, and $1,000 cash.


For the 1st Best Paper Award, original papers (excluding review and survey papers and papers co-authored by the current Editor-in-Chief and Co-Editors-in-Chiefs) published during 2017-2019 are eligible.

Basis for Judging                           

Quality, originality, utility, timeliness, clarity of presentation.

Nominee Solicitation                                                                            

Nominations are solicited by IJIRA Editor-in-Chief (EIC) from the Editorial Board, Guest Editorial Team, authors and readers (through published notice).

Selection Process               

Nominations are screened and reduced to a short list by the IJIRA Editorial Board and submitted to the Evaluation Committee for final recommendation.


The award generally will be made annually, but in any particular year may be withheld if no suitable paper is decided upon. The award can be given only once in each calendar year.


The award shall be presented to the winner by the EIC of the IJIRA at the banquet of the annual International Conference of Intelligent Robotics and Applications (ICIRA).

Nomination completed: September 15, 2020

Selection completed: November 15, 2020

Winner notified: December 1, 2020
