Nanotechnology for Environmental Engineering - Call for Papers

Advances in nanotechnology for environmental monitoring and remediation

Advancement in nanotechnology opens a new avenue of its practical applications in diverse fields such as biomedical, engineering, optics and environment etc. The ever-increasing depletion of environment by human activities has become an alarming threat. This leads to environmentalists to closely monitor the ecosystems for persistent pollutants effects and also to formulate newer technologies for their remediation. Advance in nanotechnology provide a solution to these problems, the advance nano sensors can detect trace pollutants. As well as techniques such as photocatalysis, adsorption and ion exchange etc has been successful employed for the remediations of these pollutants.  Nanotechnology shapes newer photocatalysts, adsorbent and other such materials for environmental detoxification. So, it becomes immense important to provide a platform to represents such advanced nanotechnology-based materials and process which finds real solution to environmental issues.

The present special issue will be focused on presenting the novel materials and nanotechnologies presently researched and used in contaminates detection and eradication. It will also highlight the advancements such materials and technologies. The aim of present special issues will be following:

  1. Synthesis and characterization of nanomaterials for environmental applications.
  2. Advancement in novel nanotechnologies for detection and monitoring of trace pollutants.
  3. Emerging pollutants and their effect on ecosystem.
  4. Heterogenous photocatalysis, adsorption and ion exchange etc.
  5. Catalytic, electrocatalytic, sonocatalytic and photo-fenton decomposition of pollutants
  6. Newer nanotechnologies for waste water treatments (heavy metals, dyes and pharmaceuticals waste).
  7. Synergistic technologies for advanced water treatment
  8. Waste management using nanotechnology.

We look forward to publishing your work with us.
