Biomass Conversion and Biorefinery - Call for Papers - Advances in thermo-chemical processing of lignocellulosic agricultural residues – Status 2023

Biomass Conversion and Biorefinery is proud to present an upcoming thematic issue, entitled:

Advances in thermo-chemical processing of lignocellulosic agricultural residues – Status 2023

Call For Paper (this opens in a new tab)

This thematic issue target towards contributions by international experts on new and promising developments in the field of thermo-chemical processing of agricultural residues. The call is focused on emerging trends and new findings dealing with fundamentals, mechanisms, and applications of thermo-chemical techniques in converting the lignocellulosic agricultural residues into briquette, fuel, char, activated carbon, and various other products for the subsequent applications as an energy carrier, for the provision of bulk and fine chemicals, for an efficient use in water/wastewater treatment, for remediation of emerging pollutants, for the use in air pollution control units, and in other environmental sectors.

The focus of this thematic issue is on original research papers with novel findings and new results meetings the highest scientific standards in the research field outlined above. Review papers are typically rejected. They are only exceptionally accepted if they are tackling a clearly new question and / or providing new and in-depth insights into a specific topic.

All manuscripts submitted to this thematic issue will go through a stringent peer review process managed by the editorial staff of the journal, and only those that are accepted after peer review will be published. The manuscripts must be prepared strictly following the guidelines of the journal; otherwise, they will be rejected. Please check the instructions to authors and the guidelines for submission (https://www.springer.com/journal/13399). Please also have a closer look at the rules related to self-citation as well as plagiarism.
