Indian Pediatrics

The Indian Academy of Pediatrics was formed in 1963 after amalgamating the Association of Pediatricians in India based at Mumbai and the Indian Pediatric Society based at Calcutta. The IAP Secretariat is situated at Mumbai, India. IAP is the only association of pediatricians in India with more than 44,000 members and 337 branches which work for the furtherance of IAP's objectives and work independently as per IAP's constitution.

The Indian Academy of Pediatrics is committed to the improvement of the health and well being of all children. For this purpose, the Academy dedicates its efforts and resources. Members of the Academy strive for the achievement of the optimum growth, development and health in the physical, emotional, mental, social and spiritual realms of all children irrespective of diversities of their backgrounds.
