The Japanese Association for Thoracic Surgery (JATS) believes that it is essential to promote the publication of valuable case reports and contribute to clinical education in order to support the next generation of thoracic surgeons. Therefore, JATS has decided to launch a new case report journal, “General Thoracic and Cardiovascular Surgery Cases.”
“General Thoracic and Cardiovascular Surgery Cases” will be published as an official/affiliated journal of the JATS, the Japanese Association for Chest Surgery, the Japanese Society for Cardiovascular Surgery and the Japan Esophageal Society.
Consequently, General Thoracic and Cardiovascular Surgery will stop accepting submissions of case reports at the end of December 2021. The submission website for the new journal will tentatively be online as of March 2022.
