  • Call for Papers, Diastasis recti

Hernia announces an upcoming special issue:

Diastasis recti is one of the more controversial topic in abdominal wall surgery: low level of evidence, expert ( and less expert ) opinion and proposal, different professionalism involved, not always a correct media information, sometimes a poor reality .

For all these reason we thought to organize a FORUM on DIASTASIS RECTI, in order to prepare a Special Issue and consequently a Topical collection.

We launch a call for sending papers on this subject, in form of Original paper, How I Do It, Review, or even Letters to Editor, that will be peer reviewed prior to acceptance.

On our side we will invite well known worldwide specialists on the topic to participate with invited papers, that equally will be peer reviewed.

This special Issue will have as Guest Editors Greg Dumanian, Jeffrey Janis, Maurice Nahabedian and David Ross.

  • COVID-19 and impact on peer review

As a result of the significant disruption that is being caused by the COVID-19 pandemic we are very aware that many researchers will have difficulty in meeting the timelines associated with our peer review process during normal times.  Please do let us know if you need additional time. Our systems will continue to remind you of the original timelines but we intend to be highly flexible at this time.
