About this book series

The aim of the series Advances in Mathematics is to give a complete, organized survey of results in special topics in mathematics, published in the last 10–30 years, that have not yet appeared in handbooks. Researchers, who themselves are best informed about the current state of the art in their fields of interest, will be invited to author the books in the series. The books in the series are selected for the scientific quality and significance of the material covered.
