About this book series
This
book series comprises short, methodological books on research synthesis and
meta-analysis. Systematic reviews and meta-analysis have become standard
methods for identifying, summarizing, and aggregating the results from
thematically related studies in the health/medical, social/behavioral,
business/management, and biological sciences. However, methodological
advances developed across the various disciplines appear to spread only slowly
from one discipline to the next, in part because of the limited accessibility
of the published content to readers primarily interested in applying systematic
review techniques and meta-analysis (as opposed to those at the forefront of
methodological developments) and the limited communication across disciplines.
To bridge these gaps, and to meet the needs of readers interested in applying the
latest techniques and approaches, the overall goal of this SpringerBriefs
Series is to provide timely, hands-on, and state-of-the art summaries of recent
and emerging topics related to all aspects of research synthesis.
Discontinued series: although this series no longer publishes new content, the published titles listed here remain available.
