Springer Nature's Sustainable Development Goals (SDG) Programme aims to connect the researchers who are tackling the world’s toughest challenges with the practitioners in policy and business who desperately need those insights to achieve their goals in improving the world, by making our publishing activities more visible to our key communities through a variety of channels.
As part of the SDG15 hub
(this opens in a new tab)launch, dedicated to life on land, we asked several experts how they work to make sure their related research is reaching those that need it most to make urgent decisions when it comes to the future of our planet.
A scientific journal’s greatest responsibility is to ensure that all contributions accepted for publication are rigorously but fairly reviewed.
We gratefully acknowledge the valued support of the scientists who have reviewed papers throughout the year.
We work with Publons to give our expert peer reviewers official and seamless recognition for their contribution to research.
Learn how you can add your peer reviews to your Publons profile here (https://www.springernature.com/gp/reviewers/publons

Our peer review system is also integrated with ORCID, allowing our reviewers to share their discoveries and receive recognition for their reviewer efforts.
The Journal of Plant Pathology (JPP) is pleased to announce a special issue dedicated to graduate students and postdocs who are 24 months from graduation (e.g. a January 2023 graduation means submissions to the SI are allowed until December 2024).
The SI will accept papers on any topic of plant pathology and plant-associated microbes as long as the first author is a graduate student or has graduated in the last year.
