This book shares the collective experience of integrating electronic portfolios as assessment tools and as instruments for life-long learning in courses across various disciplines in higher education. It enables readers to trace the evolution of e-portfolios over the last ten years and to deal with the challenges faced by instructors and students when implementing e-portfolios in their respective courses. Further, the book suggests flexible ways of dealing with those challenges. It also highlights the relevance of electronic portfolios for the needs and demands of contemporary societies. - About the authors

Tushar Chaudhuri is assistant professor of European studies at the Hong Kong Baptist University and is course coordinator of the European Studies programme (German Stream). He has taught German as a Foreign Language to university students in India, Germany and Hong Kong. His research interests include the impact of new technology in the university language classroom, the role of multilingualism in foreign language acquisition and telecollaborative language learning.
Dr. Béatrice Cabau has been an associate professor at the Department of Government and International Studies, Hong Kong Baptist University and the course coordinator of the European Studies programme (French stream) for almost twenty years. Her research interests are language policy in Europe; language -in-education policy; Scandinavian and European studies; intercultural studies; internationalization of higher education as well as students’ mobility.
