Wirtschaftliche Strukturänderungen stellen heute neue Anforderungen an die Organisationsstruktur von Unternehmen, die häufig nur durch den Einsatz von Informations- und Kommunikationstechnik (IKT) erfüllt werden können. Gleichzeitig deutet das sogenannte Produktivitätsparadoxon darauf hin, dass ein produktiver Einsatz der IKT überzeugende organisatorische Anwendungskonzepte voraussetzt. Die entscheidende Herausforderung liegt deshalb in einer integrierten Gestaltung von Organisationsstrukturen und Informationssystemen. Rolf Alexander Teubner untersucht die betriebswirtschaftlichen Gestaltungsmethoden der Organisationslehre und die Informatik-Methoden in der Tradition des Software Engineering. Er weist eine unzureichende Verknüpfung nach und zeigt die Notwendigkeit einer übergreifenden Gestaltungsdisziplin auf, die als Organization and Information Engineering (OIE) bezeichnet wird. Auf dieser Grundlage entwickelt der Autor einen Vorschlag zur Methodenintegration und verdeutlicht dessen praktische Anwendbarkeit anhand eines integrierten Fallbeispiels.

About the author

Dr. Rolf Alexander Teubner ist Akademischer Rat am Institut für Wirtschaftsinformatik der Universität Münster. Er promovierte 1997 bei Professor Dr. Karl Kurbel an der Universität Münster und arbeitet seitdem am Lehrstuhl von Professor Dr. Stefan Klein in den Bereichen Informationsmanagement und Interorganisationssysteme.
