Rosalba Badillo Vega geht der Frage nach, was einen transformationalen Führungsstil von Hochschulpräsidentinnen und -präsidenten ausmacht. Die Überprüfung des theoretischen Konstrukts führt sie anhand einer Stichprobe mexikanischer Hochschulpräsidentinnen und -präsidenten durch. Aus interdisziplinärer Perspektive, die die psychologische Führungsforschung mit organisationssoziologischen Dimensionen kombiniert, untersucht die Autorin Einflüsse der Hochschule und deren Umwelt sowie individueller Eigenschaften auf den Führungsstil. Dabei kommt sie u.a. zum Ergebnis, dass transformationale, transaktionale und Laissez-Faire-Strategien kombiniert werden, um unter begrenzter Rationalität ein zielgerichtetes Hochschulmanagement zu erreichen.
