About this book

Since the first edition of Pediatric Uroradiology, very significant advances have been made in the imaging and treatment of common and important pediatric urologic disorders such as vesicoureteric reflux, urinary tract infection, and upper urinary tract dilatation. This revised and extended version takes full account of the sometimes dramatic changes. It describes in detail all aspects of pediatric uroradiology, embracing both recent developments and established concepts. New chapters have been added, for example on genetics in nephrourology and clinical management of important nephrourologic disorders. Short conclusions are included at the end of chapters and sections to provide the reader with the key information on the specific topic under consideration. This book will allow not only the (pediatric) radiologist, but also the pediatrician, pediatric surgeon, and urologist to meet the challenges of today’s pediatric uroradiology.

Reviews

From the reviews of the second edition:

"This second edition of Pediatric Uroradiology … updates all 29 chapters for technical and theoretical changes in paediatric uroradiology that have occurred over the last few years. … this is an important and useful text. … I believe this edition will become and important reference text for paediatric and adult radiologists, general paediatric practitioners, paediatric surgeons, urologists and paediatric nephrologists and will hopefully reach the largest possible circulation." (Giampiero Beluffi, La Radioogia Medica, Vol. 114, March, 2009)

“Pediatric Uroradiology more than meets the goals set by its authors who are internationally renowned in the field. Although this book is primarily intended for pediatric radiologists, it will serve as an excellent reference for general pediatricians specialists in the field of pediatric uroradiology, and those who are new to the field. The chapters are well organized … . The illustrations figures, and tables are of high quality and enhance the text. … serve as a reference tool for new trainees in pediatric imaging.” (Susie Muir, Radiology, Vol. 255 (2), May, 2010)
