About the editors

The principal editor has more than 20 years of research experience in multimedia signal processing area. He is a world recognized expert in the field of visual signal processing and communications especially in image/video segmentation. He chaired a number of prestigious international conferences on video signal processing and communications and served on the advisory and technical committees of numerous professional organizations. He has published extensively including 3 authored books, and over 200 refereed technical papers in the areas of visual signal processing, image/video coding and multimedia communications and holds 4 patents on video coding technology.
