About this book series
One World Archaeology series is published on behalf of the World Archaeological Congress (WAC). WAC is a non-governmental, not-for-profit organization and is the only archaeological organization with elected global representation. Publications in the One World Archaeology series traditionally contained selections of papers presented at the WAC Congresses every four years. The series is now also open to edited volumes led by members of WAC (at least one of the editors should be a member of WAC) and dealing with matters of interest to WAC (see tab on WAC Aims).
This series accepts publications on a wide-range of topics, reflecting the diverse interests of WAC, including (but not limited to) the following:

· Scientific study of the past
· Ethics and Politics in Archaeology
· Archaeological theory and practice
· Protection and Conservation of Cultural Heritage
· Public Archaeology and Education

*Note: please note that book projects must be prepared keeping in mind the aims of the WAC association including but not limited to placing to considerations of power and politics in framing archaeological questions and results. WAC also gives place and privilege to minorities who have often been silenced or regarded as beyond capable of making main line contributions to the field. So, volumes in this series are expected to include a wide range of perspectives and a broad geographical representation.

Initial proposals can be sent to the publishing editor, Christi Lue (Christi.Lue@springer.com),or the Series editors, Inés Domingo Sanz (ines.domingo@ub.edu) and Naoko Matsumoto (naoko_n@cc.okayama-u.ac.jp)Proposals should include:
• The proposed title• A short synopsis of the work or the introduction chapter
• The proposed Table of Contents
• The CV of the lead author(s)
• If available: one sample chapter
We aim to make a first decision within 1 month of submission. In case of a positive first decision, the series will have the manuscript under consideration in the series. The final decision about publication will depend upon the result of the anonymous peer review of the complete manuscript. We aim to have the complete work peer-reviewed within 3 months of submission.
