IUSSP
The International Union for the Scientific Study of Population (IUSSP) is a professional association of researchers, scholars, policy-makers and others from diverse disciplinary and professional backgrounds set up to advance the field of demography and promote scientific exchange on population issues and trends. Its central objectives are to stimulate and consolidate research on pressing population issues by convening scientific seminars and conferences, disseminate the results of this work to the research community, policy-makers and the interested public, build research capacity, and encourage engagement between research and policy. The IUSSP annually organizes specialized international seminars and conferences on a range of population issues; every four years it organizes the International Population Conference.
