The Future of Third Sector Research
From Theory to Definitions, Classifications and Aggregation Towards New Research Paths
Initiated by Helmut Anheier in 1999, the Nonprofit and Civil Society Series is a first and unique publication space dedicated to interdisciplinary studies of the third-sector and global promotion of this research field. Published in cooperation with the International Society for Third-Sector Research (ISTR), the Series publishes books of interest to a wide-ranging audience of researchers, advanced students, policymakers, and practitioners in this international area of study and practice.
The Series welcomes manuscripts by scholars from all relevant academic disciplines, including sociology, political science, economics, history, human geography, development studies, cultural studies and more. Books that focus on in-depth case studies or apply comparative and quantitative methods are all valued. Topics are open while preferences are given to the scholarship with theoretical innovation, challenging case evidence, imminent social impact, interdisciplinary edge, and/or cross-sectoral collaboration.
Authors are strongly encouraged to get in touch with the editors directly to get more information about how to publish into the Series. Queries regarding the submission process may also be directed to the Springer publishing editor.
