About this book series

This distinguished open-access subseries publishes original and potentially influential scholarly works on corpus research and applications, which will appeal to a great variety of readers who are interested in studies based on corpora.

The rapid development of computer technologies helps usher a new era of corpus studies. Corpora have been widely employed in almost every research area related to linguistics, translation, and literature. Meanwhile, corpora can also be used to produce language teaching materials and offer an outstanding resource in education. Nowadays, various kinds of corpora (including text, speech, or multimodal resources) are an indispensable basis for machine translation and other artificial intelligence applications.

This subseries is dedicated to becoming a platform for presenting the latest development in corpus studies, which covers a wide range of topics ranging from discourse analysis and cross-culture to machine translation and computational linguistics.

Frontiers in corpus research and applications is published as a subseries of Corpora and Intercultural Studies with open access, which is beneficial for the dissemination of high-quality research. This subseries is a collaboration of Springer and The Institute of Corpus Studies and Applications at Shanghai International Studies University (SISU).
