About the Editor

​Rakesh Bhatt is Professor of Linguistics at the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign, USA. He specializes in the sociolinguistics of language contact, particularly issues of migration, minorities and multilingualism, code-switching, language ideology, and world Englishes. The empirical focus of his work has been on South Asian languages, especially Kashmiri, Hindi, and Indian English.
