About the Editor

Kathleen Hale is Professor of Political Science at Auburn University, US. Before coming to Auburn, Kathleen served as senior research staff, legal counsel, and policy advisor to state and local government agencies and officials, and nonprofit organizations at the national, state and local level. She is a member of the Executive Council of the Nonprofit Section of NASPAA (2010-2013), and the 2011 recipient of the Award for Excellence in Teaching and Learning in Community and Civic Engagement from the Auburn University College of Liberal Arts. Dr. Hale is currently the academic coordinator for Auburn's Election Administration outreach program to professionalize public administration of elections in conjunction with the national certification program of The Election Center (Houston, TX).
