Dietrich Jung is Head of the Center for Contemporary Middle East Studies at the University of Southern Denmark (SDU), Denmark. Recent publications include Orientalists, Islamists and the Global Public Sphere: A Genealogy of the Modern Essentialist Image of Islam and Religion, Politics, and Turkey’s EU Accession (co-edited with Catharina Raudvere).
