About this book series

This series examines correlates and determinants of health, broadly defined, from across diverse cultural and racial perspectives. The focus of this series is to identify factors that are associated with and which could influence the health of different cultural and racial groups of individuals, from ill-being to well-being. These factors include a complexity of biological, psychological, and social conditions and processes.

The series fills a gap in the literature by including authored and edited books that are research-based and address diverse issues relevant to multiple determinants of health, including emerging health issues, medical conditions, psychiatric conditions, interpersonal adjustment, economic factors, technology, and cultural contexts and conditions. Volumes in the series will be a valuable resource for researchers and students in psychology, sociology, social work, anthropology, medicine, cultural studies, and public health.
