About this book series
Perspectives on Sustainable Growth publishes authored and edited books that are centered on a common theme: (1) we treat sustainability as a type of need experienced by our citizens and it can be measured, and (2) in order to stay competitive (and thus be successful in the present and future), firms and governments must innovate (and sometimes re-innovate) to address this need. The book series does not build upon the moral aspect of sustainable development as is typically done by existing scholarly work and policy guidelines. Instead, the series treats sustainable development as a new (and critical) type of customer need, and thus provides an intellectual and overarching framework that is unique and actionable. There are several distinct and complementing streams of books to be included in the series. These include reports on practice, theory and measurement of needs, innovation strategies, forecasting of trends, and policy guidelines. The series publishes edited books, monographs, textbooks and handbooks.
