• Helping to clarify and establish the grounds of Knowledge Management as a discipline Involving individuals, groups, organizations, companies
• Providing reference and point of attraction especially to young researchers or professionals
• Favoring education of people doing research in Knowledge Management or working as professionals
• Promoting collaboration and effective networking among researchers and with professionals
• Facilitating initiatives of joint research projects and publication of research results
