About the Editor

Min Wang is currently a full professor in the Department of Mechanical Engineering of The University of Hong Kong. He was awarded PhD in materials science and engineering by University of London in 1991. He is a Charted Scientist and a Chartered Engineer in the UK. He has conducted research on a wide range of biomaterials for more than 20 years now and has a large number of publications in peer-reviewed journals and conference proceedings, as well as chapters on biomaterials and tissue engineering in more than 10 books. He has given many conference presentations, including more than 80 invited talks, at international conferences. He has also given many research seminars in universities, research institutes and hospitals in Europe, North America, Asia and Australia. He has been elected fellow (FIMMM, FIMechE, FHKIE, FBSE and FAIMBE) of professional societies in the UK, USA and Hong Kong. Dr. Wang has been Chairman and Organizer of many international conferences including symposia in three World Biomaterials Congresses (2004, 2008 and 2012). He has also served in the committees of more than 40 international conferences. He has acted as a reviewer for more than 60 international journals in the fields of materials science and engineering, biomaterials and tissue engineering, surface engineering, physics, chemistry, dentistry, medicine, nanoscience and nanotechnology. He is currently editor or associate editor of several international journals and has been an editorial board member of more than 10 other journals including Springer’s Journal of Materials Science: Materials in Medicine.
