Journal of Thermal Spray Technology Volume 26 Best Paper Awards

The Journal of Thermal Spray Technology (JTST) is pleased to announce the winners of the JTST Volume 26 Best Paper Awards, as chosen by an international committee of expert judges. The awards were presented to the winning authors at the International Thermal Spray Conference & Exposition 2018, in Orlando, Florida.

The Editorial Committee of the journal believes it is important to evaluate the quality of engineering and scientific contributions published in JTST and to provide recognition of excellent work and its publication. Each paper is reviewed and evaluated on its merits for scientific and engineering content, originality, and presentation style. The following papers are recognized as outstanding and the authors received awards of recognition for their excellent publications.

The Journal of Thermal Spray Technology Volume 26 Best Paper Award: 

“Super-Hydrophobic Surface Prepared by Lanthanide Oxide Ceramic Deposition Through PS-PVD Process” by Dr. Cheng-Xin Li, Ms. Jie Li, Mr. Qing-Yu Chen, Mr. Jiu-Tao Gao, Mr. Jun Wang, Prof. Guan-Jun Yang, and Prof. Chang-Jiu Li, State Key Laboratory for Mechanical Behavior of Materials, School of Materials Science and Engineering, Xi’an Jiaotong University.

    The Journal of Thermal Spray Technology publishes contributions on all aspects -- fundamental and practical--of thermal spray science including processes, feedstock manufacture, testing, and characterization.  As the primary vehicle for thermal spray information transfer, its mission is to synergize the rapidly advancing thermal spray industry and related industries by presenting research and development efforts leading to advancements in implementable engineering applications of the technology.
