Cansu Kaya,Associate Publisher, completed her PhD in medicinal chemistry at the Helmholtz Institute for Pharmaceutical Research, University of Saarland, Saarbrücken, Germany in 2022. The focus of her doctoral studies was the design and synthesis of inhibitors of bacterial virulence factors to overcome antibiotic resistance. She joined Springer in March 2021 as an interim associate editor in the Chemistry Books team and as of January 2022, she moved to Chemistry Journals Team.
