About the author
Giovanni Solari is professor of Structural and Wind Engineering at University of Genoa, Italy, where he also served as director of the Wind Tunnel Laboratory. He was president of the International Association for Wind Engineering (IAWE) from 2003 to 2007, and starting from 2020 he will be serving as president of the Italian Institute of Welding.
