Overview
Adds new chapters on Space Frameworks, Forced Vibration, Special Topics, and Nonlinear Structural Analysis
Retains comprehensive presentation of the fundamental methods of analysis (Initial Parameters method, Force method, Displacement method) as it applies to problems of statics, stability and vibration
Reinforces concepts with student exercises (and instructors' solutions manual)
Discusses consequences of introducing additional assumptions to, and/or rejecting the assumptions of classical mechanics
Concludes the text with new summaries of Modeling of Structures and Fundamental Developments in the History of Structural Mechanics
