About the authors
Sven Klimpel is a Professor of Parasitology and Infection Biology at the Goethe-University Frankfurt/Main, Institute of Ecology, Evolution and Diversity, and at the Senckenberg Biodiversity and Climate Research Centre. His chief research interests are in the ecology, evolution and host-parasite co-evolution of aquatic (limnic, marine) and terrestrial protozoan/metazoan parasites and pathogens.
