Acta Diabetologica - Health Education and psycho-social aspects: a topical collection

The Topical Collection on Health education and psycho-social aspects aims to provide a decisive hub for discussion based on data investigating different perspectives of Health Education, Structured Patient Education, Self-Management Education, Cooperative and Peer Learning, Enquiry Based Learning, Decision-Making and Self-Efficacy in people with Type 2 and Type 1 diabetes, in addition to a wide range of research studies reporting relevant case studies in Psychological and Social aspects. It also aims to collect studies on the relationships between patient and family and social context and research related to the training of providers involved in the treatment of people with diabetes and consequences in clinical and psychological outcomes.We believe that the area of patient education and psycho-social aspects needs to be better explored and classified and we aim to gain several new insights on this topic.
