Soft Computing - Call for Papers: Soft Computing in Advanced Intelligent Systems: Selected Papers from the 24th International Symposium on Advanced Intelligent Systems (ISIS)

This special issue will introduce high-quality papers selected from the 24th International Symposium on Advanced Intelligent Systems (ISIS) in Gwangju, Republic of Korea, from December 6th to 9th, 2023. The Korean Institute of Intelligent Systems (KIIS) and the Japan Society for Fuzzy Theory and Intelligent Informatics (SOFT) have held joint conferences biannually in each country since 2000. The special issue will provide a variety of novel algorithms, technologies, and applications for Soft Computing in Advanced Intelligent Systems.

  • All papers will be peer-reviewed. Before any special issue is given final approval to be put into production, additional rigorous integrity checks are carried out by the Editor-in-Chief, Special Issues Assistant Editor, Editorial Team, Production Office and by Springer Nature.

Hong Gi Yeom received the B.S. and M.S. degree in electrical and electronics engineering from the Chung-Ang University, in 2008 and 2010, respectively. He received the Ph.D. degree in interdisciplinary program in neuroscience from the Seoul National University, in 2017. He was an Assistant Professor at the Department of Electronics Engineering, Chosun University, from 2017 to 2023. He is currently an Associate Professor from 2023. His research interests include brain-computer interfaces, brain mechanisms, machine learning, and bio-signal analysis.

Taechang Byun received the Bachelor degree and completed the Master's course in Mathematics from Seoul National University in 1999 and 2002, respectively. He received the Ph.D. in Mathematics from the University of Oklahoma in 2011. He was a Research Fellow at the Seoul National University's Mathematics Research Institute. He has been a Visiting Professor at Sejong University. His research interests include Riemannian submersions and metric foliations, Lie Groups, and Fuzzy theory.

Seok-Beom Roh received the M.Sc, degree  in computer engineering  and Ph. D. degree in control and measurement engineering from Wonkwang University, Iksan, South Korea, in 1996, and in 2006 respectively. He is currently a associate professor of Electronic and Computer Engineering with Seokyeong university, Seoul, South Korea. His research interests include fuzzy system, fuzzy-neural networks, computational intelligence and machine learning.
