Aims and Scope:
Carbon-based materials exhibit numerous benefits due to their inherent unique properties. Advanced carbon materials, such as carbon nanomaterials and films, have attracted significant attention in numerous fields, including energy storage and conversion, environment, medicine, electronics, etc. In addition, carbon materials, functionalized via various physical and chemical routes to suit specific applications, have gained industrial importance. The Special Issue emphasizes recent advancements in synthesizing carbon-based materials for energy and environmental applications. The special issue accepts theoretical and experimental works focusing on the synthesis, applications and challenges of novel biomass-based carbon materials. Potential topics considered are as follows.
• Biomass-based carbon materials- Activated carbon, Biochar, Carbon nanotubes, Graphene, Graphene oxide, Carbon aerogels.
• Functionalization
• Catalysis
• Biomass-based carbon materials for energy storage and conversion
• Biomass-based carbon materials for environmental applications
