We are pleased to inform that a special issue entitled “Raman Spectroscopy for Analytical Applications” will be published as a collection volume in 2024. Raman spectroscopy is a powerful analytical method utilized in various fields such as material science, food science, pharmaceutical development, medical diagnosis, and cell biology due to its less or non-invasiveness in analysis.

  • Most Cited Paper Award of Analytical Sciences - 2022

The Editorial Board is delighted to announce the "Most Cited Paper Award of Analytical Sciences 2022". Selected papers for this distinction were determined based on the number of cites received during 2022 for all papers published in 2020−2021. The data were culled from several citation databases. All of these papers were categorized into "Original Papers, Rapid Communications, Notes and Advancements in Instrumentation" or "Reviews". The top-three most cited papers in each category were selected as follows and the top papers received the "Most Cited Paper Award of Analytical Sciences 2022".

  • Call for Papers:Novel Analytical Technologies Contributing to Clinical and Pharmaceutical Research Fields

The roles of analytical science in medical and pharmaceutical fields are becoming more increasingly important. Analytical technologies not only contribute to clinical diagnosis such as quantification of biomarkers and screening for infectious diseases but also contribute to the development of medicinal products through identification of chemical compounds and pharmacokinetic analysis. Especially, the COVID-19 pandemic makes us re-realize the importance of analytical technologies in those fields and have accelerated the development of various technologies.

  • Call for papers: Frontiers of Separation Analysis

We are pleased to inform that a special issue entitled ”Frontiers of Separation Analysis” will be published as a collection volume in 2023. Chromatographic separation is one of the major streams in analytical science, and involves liquid chromatography, gas chromatography, capillary electrophoresis, and microchip electrophoresis, etc. A wide variety of research is being conducted by chromatographic separations from fundamental investigations to practical applications. Hyphenated technology of chromatographic separation with state-of-the-art detection system, as well as combination with data science, will explore novel scientific field. This collection volume focuses on the research activities of such chromatographic studies.
