High Entropy Alloys & Materials - Call for Papers: High Entropy Nanomaterials

High entropy (HE) alloys have revolutionized the materials design concept by exploiting the vast compositional space in multi-principal element systems. This led to the discovery of a new class of bulk alloys with unique microstructures and exceptional properties, suitable for a wide range of applications in transport, energy and medical industries. Recently, nanotechnology has been used in high entropy materials research to take advantage of the synergetic effects of high entropy and quantum mechanics, as demonstrated in HE nanoalloys, HE nanoparticles, HE two-dimensional materials for the development of advanced materials with potential applications in electronics, optics, energy storage, and catalysis.

This special issue provides recent research progress and challenges on the development of high entropy nanomaterials for both structural and functional applications.

Topics cover but not limited to:

(1) materials design and modelling

(2) synthesis and processing

(3) microstructural characterisation

(4) evaluation of properties and performance

(5) applications and future directions of high entropy nanomaterials

Submission Deadline: May 31, 2024
