Meet the Editor-in-Chief for Discover Materials
“I am delighted to announce the launch of the journal Discover Materials as a key venue for the science community to share their advances in materials research. We intend that the key topics and topical collections published in the journal will contribute to a better understanding of materials, how we can exploit their multiple functionalities, and how to design them and apply that knowledge to devices, systems and products, crosscutting a plethora of scientific and application areas.”
Rodrigo Martins is a Full Professor at the Faculty of Sciences and Technology of New University of Lisbon, Portugal; running President of the European Academy of Sciences; Head of the Materials Science Department of NOVA-STS; member of the Portuguese Academy of Engineering and of the Portuguese Order of Engineers; Vice president of the International Union of Materials Research Societies, IUMRS; Co-chair of the European Energy Materials industry Research Initiative, EMIRI; founder and director of the Centre of Excellence in Microelectronic and Optoelectronic Processes of Uninova; and leader of the Materials, Optoelectronics and Nanotechnologies group of I3N/CENIMAT.
