Molecular Genetics and Genomics - Editor-in-Chief Stefan Hohmann passed away on 2 July 2021

It is with great sadness and dismay that we have learned that our editor Stefan Hohmann passed away on July 2, 2021.

Dr. Hohmann had been editor of "Molecular Genetics and Genomics" since 2005. He worked tirelessly for our journal during this time and ensured fair and high quality peer review on behalf of the journal. From 2001 to 2015, Dr. Hohmann also served as editor of “Current Genetics”, and from 2001 to 2020, he was the lead editor of the “Current Topics in Genetics” book series.  Through his many activities, Dr. Hohmann has greatly enriched our publishing program.

With Stefan, we have lost a great journal editor and a reliable, dedicated and always friendly and approachable partner and person.

Our thoughts are with his family at this difficult time.
