The special issue features contributions of the biannual conference "Applied Harmonic Analysis and Friends'' 2022 that will take place in Strobl, Austria, June 19 - 25, 2022. This is the ninth conference on harmonic analysis in Strobl in 20 years. The issue will celebrate the conference series with high level contributions by its participants.

Topics include: function spaces, time-frequency analysis and Gabor analysis, wavelet theory, frame theory, sampling theory and compressed sensing, pseudo-differential operators and Fourier integral operators, numerical harmonic analysis, abstract harmonic analysis, and applications of harmonic analysis.

Submissions are not limited to conference participants, strong papers on topics covered by the conference will also be considered. The conference will honor Hans G. Feichtinger's 70th birthday. Contributions devoted to Hans Feichtinger and contributions in the spirit of his mathematics are especially welcome.

We encourage early submission and recommend that the manuscript shall not have more than 20 pages. Papers should be original, unpublished, and not currently under consideration for publication elsewhere. All papers will go through a regular peer review process. Accepted papers will immediately be published online.
