MRS Energy & Sustainability - Call for Papers for Next Level: Pursuing Sustainability under Energy Earthshots™

In response to the climate crisis, the U.S. Department of Energy (DOE) created several Energy Earthshots™ initiatives aimed at accelerating innovation and advances needed to reduce the cost of clean energy technologies and find clean energy solutions. These initiatives focus on clean hydrogen, long duration energy storage, carbon dioxide removal, enhanced geothermal systems, floating offshore wind technologies, industrial heating, and clean fuels/products. In this MRS Energy & Sustainability special collection, authors from different energy technology areas in the U.S., as well as international, universities and national laboratories are invited to provide ideas, insights and perspectives on contributions to the Energy Earthshots™ initiatives. An integrated analysis incorporating energy technologies, materials science, governmental policy, and economics is highly encouraged.
