Adrian Różański (DSc, PhD, Eng) is an Associate Professor at Wrocław University of Science and Technology (WUST), Poland, Vice Dean of the Faculty of Civil Engineering and Deputy Chairman of Scientific Discipline Council Civil Engineering, Geodesy and Transport. He obtained a MSc in Civil Engineering from WUST in 2005, a PhD in Civil Engineering from the University Lille I (France) in 2010 and a DSc in Civil Engineering from WUST in 2019. He was a bursar on a three year scholarship from the French Ministry of Research and Technology (2006-2009). He is the author or co-author of more than 80 papers in scientific journals and conference proceedings. Moreover, he is a co-author of more than 60 technical expert opinions. For two years he has been national geotechnical expert for the largest tailings storage facility in Europe, Żelazny Most. He is a member of the International Society for Soil Mechanics and Geotechnical Engineering. His area of interest is: mechanics of composites, soil and rock mechanics, energy geotechnics, multi-scale modelling of physical processes, geotechnics of megastructures. Since 2018, he also works as a Managing Editor of the international journal Studia Geotechnica et Mechanica. In his private life he is passionate about old cars and sports.
