Marine Life Science & Technology - News: The first Marine Life Science & Technology Image Competition is OPEN now!

We are delighted to announce the launch of the first Marine Life Science & Technology image competition! 

Submit your images for a chance to highlight your research, win prizes, and have your visual stories featured in the journal. Anyone affiliated with a research institution is eligible to enter.

What – The Ideal Cover Image

Express the beauty of marine life science & technology.

To be specific:

• Image can clearly represent the field of the journal, highlight the theme of ‘marine life - marine bioresources – marine biotechnology’
• Image is beautiful and eye-catching
• Image can fit diversified backgrounds, which is easy to add journal title and other texts
• The recommended resolution is 500 dpi, and the image can be edited via Photoshop and other AI tools
• Recommended hot topics: aquatic resources, biological oceanography - environmental biology - ecology, marine medicine, food science and biotechnology

How – The Way to Participate

Evaluation Committee:

The journal Editor-in-Chief Prof. Weibo Song and the journal Editorial Board Members will organize the evaluation and elect the winner.

Prize:

• Winner: 300 EUR (cash)
• Runner-up (second place): 150 EUR (cash)
• Second runner-up (third place): 75 EUR (cash)

How to Apply?

Please submit the image via email to the journal editorial office mlst@ouc.edu.cn (this opens in a new tab), with the email subject as ‘Marine Life Science & Technology Image Competition’.

The email must contain the following information:

Name, Affiliation, Contact details of Research Institute, Image, File type, Description (Max. 300 words), Data attribution (if applicable), Statement ‘I agree to release this image under a Creative Commons License: Y/N’.

When – The Key Dates

• Application deadline: 30 August 2023
• Winner announced: September 2023
