Climate change and rapidly growing global populations pose major challenges to agriculture. The new genomic tools, technologies, and resources with genetic approaches are essential to help solve important scientific problems in agricultural and other related fields.
Prof. Jue Ruan would like to call for research and review articles for an aBIOTECH special issue on “Bioinformatics methods and tools”. Many of the papers in this issue will be invited by issue editor; however, unsolicited papers related to the topic are also welcome. We would like to invite you to contribute a research article or review article for the special issue, relating to bioinformatics algorithms/pipelines/visualizations.
Submission Deadline: September 2021
Climate change poses major challenges to agriculture. One consequence of climate change is that plants have to cope with greater ambient temperature fluctuations and more frequent extreme temperature changes. Research on the fundamental mechanisms through which plants respond and adapt to temperature changes will be vital to maintain agricultural productivities. Prof. Jian-Xiang Liu and Prof. Wenqiang Tang would like to call for research and review articles for an aBIOTECH special issue on “Responses and Adaptation of Plants to Temperature Changes”.
Submission Deadline: October 2021
This special issue seeks submissions of research articles and review articles in both basic research and technological advancements in soybean and other leguminous crops breeding. We welcome articles in areas of genetic engineering, trait improvement by gene editing, mutagenesis, and marker-assistant breeding, genetic resources and evolution, functional genomics, soybean production systems-environment, legume nodulation and nitrogen fixation, and other related areas.
Guest Editors: Prof. Xuelu Wang, Prof. Fanjiang Kong and Prof. Yufeng Guan
Submission Deadline: June 2021
In this special issue, we invite submissions of original research and review articles in all areas of metabolic engineering for either primary or specialized metabolites. We encourage submission of fundamental research in plant metabolic engineering and of new strategies/technologies that facilitate effectively engineering metabolite production. Papers describing synthetic biology or pathway engineering using heterologous systems are also welcome.
Guest Editors: Prof. Li Li & Prof. Xiao-Ya Chen
Submission Deadline: May 2021
