Mediterranean Geoscience Reviews is a new international 
scientific journal that gathers several aspects of geology
and geography related to the Mediterranean basin and surrounding countries.

Editor-in-Chief Professor Attila Çiner is a sedimentologist and Quaternary geologist working at the Eurasia Institute of Earth Sciences at Istanbul Technical University and the Geography department of the University of Barcelona. He specialises on tectono-sedimentary evolution of basins and Quaternary depositional environments (moraines, fluvial terraces, alluvial fans, deltas). He uses cosmogenic nuclides to date related deposits to understand paleoclimatic and paleoenvironmental changes. He is a Science Academy member and the  Mediterranean Geosciences Union (MedGU) president. In 2023, he received the Alexander von Humboldt Foundation Georg Forster research award.
