ISP is a nonprofit organization for social work educators, students, and practitioners with passion for policy! Our goal is to prepare and motivate social workers to play an active role in shaping the social policies that impact our clients and communities.

ISP is the only national membership organization dedicated exclusively to promoting social work’s involvement in policy and policy practice. Founded in 1997, ISP is a 501(c)(3) whose mission is to actively engage social workers in policy research, practice, and teaching in order to advance social policies that promote human well-being and social justice.
